Estate administration is the process of handling a person’s legal and tax affairs after they pass away.

WHAT JUBILEE COVER WILL DO FOR YOUR EXECUTOR

Prepare the documents for your chosen executor to apply for and acquire the Grant of Representation from the court.

Our experts will identify and value all of your assets (such as property, investments and possessions) and all liabilities (such as debts, loans, utility bills etc). These values must be calculated in order to determine the total value of your Estate
Letters will be drafted for any government departments, such as HMRC, DVLA, Passport Office, as well as banks and utility companies, for your executor to send.
We will assist in closing all bank accounts, along with any other relevant accounts.

All beneficiaries due to inherit under your estate must have their entitlement to the estate verified under the terms of your Will (or under intestacy laws if there is no valid Will).

The final estate administration expenses must be paid.

Accounts documenting all payments into and out of the estate will be prepared, showing the balance left for distribution to the beneficiaries.

Estate accounts will be generated and sent to the Executor of the Will for approval.
As long as there are no challenges to the estate or contentious factors preventing distribution, the transfer of any assets and the distribution of the balance of estate funds can take place.

The Benefits

The Main Benefits of Jubilee Cover Executor Support

With fixed costs from the outset, you know exactly how much you are paying for this invaluable assistance in having your estate settled. As this is paid prior to being needed, there will be no surprising bills for your executor to pay before your legacy is passed on to your beneficiaries.

  • Peace of mind knowing that your documents are safe, secure, and not accessible to any undue influence.
  • No further cost for updates to your documents, including any government registration fees for powers of attorney
  • The opportunity to change your Will, Trust, or Lasting Powers of Attorney when your circumstances change, without paying additional fees.
  • Save your executor the burden of having to apply for probate themselves and administer your estate during a challenging time.
  • Your executor or beneficiaries won’t need to find additional funds to pay for the cost of a probate professional to administer your estate (usually charged at 2% to 4% of your estate value). It is quite common for an executor to seek the services of a professional after a loved one has passed. At-need probate can be extremely overpriced.

COST ANALYSIS

As this is a fixed-cost product, you will pay either a one-off fee or a deposit with monthly payments, rather than a percentage of your estate after you pass away. We believe that the size of your estate should not result in significantly higher costs, since the principles and process are the same for estates both large and small.

The cost of a probate service engaged by an executor in the UK typically ranges from 2% to 4% of the estate’s value. For an estate of £400,000, this could mean paying £8,000 at the lower end, or £16,000 or more for higher-priced services.

Most people update their wishes several times throughout their lives due to marriage, divorce, family disputes, changing priorities, or changes in their assets. Jubilee Cover’s Executor Support service includes free updates to all your important documents for the duration of your term.
The savings on updates are incremental, save up to £4,000 or more if you have a more complex plan including trust and powers of attorney.
15 years of storage can cost up to £2,872, this is based on storage of four essential documents.
The time savings for you and your executor are invaluable.
